Facility: HCA HealthONE Rose Medical Center – L&D Unit

Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Beds: 12 L&D, 8 triage, 11 antepartum
• Staff: 72 total team members
• Day Shift Staffing: 1 Charge RN, 12 RNs, 1-2 Techs, 1 Secretary
• Night Shift Staffing: 1 Charge RN, 11 RNs, 1 Tech
• Patient Ratios:
• L&D: 1:2
• Triage: 1:3-4
• Antepartum: 1:4 (estimated, not guaranteed)
• EMR System: Meditech
• Equipment Used: Centricity, GE Monitors

Position Overview

HCA HealthONE Rose Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery for a travel assignment. This role involves caring for high-risk OB patients, assisting in vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and specialized OB procedures, and circulating in the operating room for obstetric surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive maternal care for L&D, antepartum, and triage patients.
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligations, cerclage placement, and versions.
• Monitor fetal well-being using GE monitors and manage complications in high-risk pregnancies.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams in the OR.
  
  

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (Required)
• Prior experience circulating in the OR (Required)
• Preferred: Travel experience and PACU experience
• Strong adaptability and teamwork skills
