Job Summary And Qualifications
Will utilize the nursing process to independently deliver nursing care to patients in order to achieve quality outcomes and communicate need for guidance/supervision based on self-assessment of strengths and limitations. Promotes a positive image of nursing and promotes collegiality among healthcare team members.
C.A.R.E Pool RNs are required to work the following:
Hours per Pay Period: Tier V (ED RN): Minimum hours, weekend commitment, and demographic location determined by the group and POD in the HealthONE CARE pool Agreement.
Holiday Requirements: Tier V (ED RN): 1 Major or 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually. Tier V benefited: 1 Major and 1 minor holiday, and 1 difficult to staff day annually.
Floating:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Minimum of at least two years of RN experience in critical care, preferably in the emergency department, for Tier V (ED RN).

Floating:
- HealthONE C.A.R.E Pool employees will be required to float to all HealthONE facilities within the chosen pod.
- C.A.R.E Pool Nurses will be scheduled in units in which they have competencies.
- C.A.R.E Pool Nurses can be placed in a unit below their competency level with a modified assignment.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Tier V (ED RN) Compact RN license or Colorado RN license accepted upon hire, CO license required within 90 days of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certifications required on hire.
- Proof of past certification of Emergency Nurse Pediatric Curriculum (ENPC) or can be obtained after hire.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification can be obtained after hire.
- Graduate of a certified School of Nursing.
- BSN strongly preferred.
Minimum of at least two years of RN experience in critical care, preferably in the emergency department, for Tier V (ED RN).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Values & Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills.
- Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
